Saving my database to a server - Problems with Saving

My recently created database is experiencing (yet another) problem. At the
moment the file/database is saved in My Docs, which obviously isn't very
helpful if I wish to delegate to another member of staff to input. I tried
this morning saving it to our server but it will not le me Save As correctly.
Instead of the usual Save As box, there is a smaller box with space for me to
enter a Save To ( but must be manually entered and cannot be chosen from a
selection) and a Save As but only allows either Form. Database Access Page -
which of course is no use and not what I need to do.

How do I rectify this? Please help!!

Have you tried windows explorer - drag and drop

Rhianne,

I think you are opening the database to save to the server, don't do it that
way. Open Windows Explorer and do a Copy/Paste from My Documents to the
desired location on the server.

Note, you should also split the database. Allen Browne has some info on

I created a shortcut from the location I wanted it stored. Thanks for your
help though.
