Saving Movie to Camcorder

D

Denis

I saved my movie successfully to computer and CD-R with
good playbacks. However, when I try to save to DV
camcorder (Panasonic NV-DS38), I get respnse:

" Movie not recorded successfully to tape. The project
contains source files that are missing or that have been
modified after import. Your project cannot be saved as
movie until the source files have been located or deleted
from the project".

I have checked my saved project and, as far as I can see
there are no missing source files, nor any that have been
modified.

I am unable to save the project or movie as ".avi" as I
don't get this option. Only ".mswmm".

My movie file is 596MB and 1hr16mins long. My camcorder
is in LP mode.

Thanks

MSWMM is the project file. To save to DV-AVI or WMV movie formats, you need
to use the Save Movie wizard, not the Save Project option

Save as DV-AVI and then try the DVIO utility to transfer it to the
camcorder. See the Camcorders....General page of www.papajohn.org for a link
to get it.

To save your movie in DV-AVI format:

In the "Movie Tasks" pane, click on "Save to my computer". When you get to
the "Movie Setting" screen, click on "Show more choices", then click on
"Other settings". In that pull-down menu, select "DV-AVI (NTSC)".

Dear Bob

Thank you for your advice. It works. Result is fine but I
lose a few seconds of music and narration at the beginning
and end of each clip. Any way of resolving this.

Best Regards

Dear PapaJohn

Many thanks for your advice. Saved OK but have few seconds
loss of music and narration at start and end of clips. Is
this normal.
