Saving in Default Folder for item.... can't find item?

I have an Outlook application where users post entries to public
folders. One of my users had an error saying that Outlook was unable
to save the entry in the current folder and would they like to save to
the default location. Regardless of the cause of this (which is
particularly strange as the user could access the folder in question)
the user said yes, but we can't find the copy that was saved. I
checked the Inbox which is where it saves if the users permissions
have been removed from the pf in question, but it was not there. Where
else could Outlook have saved this entry???

It saves it to the default folder of the same type as the item. So, if
they were trying to save a contact item, it would go to the Contact
folder of their Inbox. A message item should go to the Inbox. I'm not
sure where a post item would go.

It was indeed an IPM.Post.xxx item... so lord knows where it saved it.
Anyway have written a macro to trawl through the users folder to find
the item, I will post any findings here.

I did do a test whereby I started a new IPM.Post entry in a folder,
then from another PC removed the permissions to that folder, thereby
forcing the error when trying to post. In that instance it did indeed
save the IPM.Post entry to the inbox...
