Saving image from web page to documents

In Vista when I try to save a census image from Ancestry.com using "Save to
my computer" I select the destination folder in documents but when I try to
save a message appears "For my security Explorer has saved to a temporary
internet folder"
How can I get it to save to the destination I actually specify?

I've never come across that message, but then I don't use Ancestry.com.

I don't know how to get it to save where you want it to save, if Vista is
getting in the way. But once the image has been saved, do a search on the
file's name. Then, when you find it, move it from the temporary folder into
the folder where you want it to be.

Thank you. I'm able to locate the file then move it( the IE messgae asks me
if I want to open the file---so I do -then I know where it is) but it all
seems so long winded. Never had this trouble with XP.

I think it's probably part of Vista's enhanced security, to prevent you from
downloading something that could damage your machine. I'm guessing the
temporary folder it's downloading to is somehow "quarantined" from the rest
of the system so that it can't get to important system files (if it's a
virus, for example).
There may be a way to turn off that protection.

One thing's for sure: There are people on this NG who know a hell of a lot
more about this topic than I do. And I'm sure they'll be weighing in soon.

Also, I wonder: If you can open the file, does the file have a "Save as"
option, so that you can then save it wherever you want?
