saving forwarded outlook 2003 messages to outlook inbox

when I forward a message from outlook 2003 inbox to another person the
message automatically goes to my send items box I need to keep the original
message in my inbox

The original message should stay in your Inbox - only the forwarded copy
should go to Sent Items.

Under Tools | Options | E-mail Options | Advanded...do you have "Save
Forwarded Messages" checked?
