Saving formatting in .csv

Kevin

I am setting up a file import into an accountning system
which requires .csv format. The first field [Stock Code]
is a 14 digit bar code number. This must be in number
format, no decimals or comma's and column with set to 16.

I set up this way and save it. Excel reverts back to
width 8.3 and fornmat, General. How can I make Excel
save in the format that I set and require?

Need help urgently on this.

Formats aren't saved in .CSV files. When you re-import them into excel, excel
uses what it wants.

But don't re-import it into excel. If you want to verify everything is ok, open
that .csv file in NotePad (or any other text editor).
