Saving file takes long time-reasons ?

My workbook has approx 100 worksheets, and lots of
hyperlinks, but minimal macros. It takes a long time to
save. I am looking for causes... so I can make changes.

Any ideas would be appreciated.

Cedwards:
Have had that frustrating problem, even on smaller
workbooks. Took forever to find a potential cure.
Culprit is often OUTLOOK!!!!! even if you don't use it.
Have to clean out all the journal entries in the Journal
which could be thousands, and reset your Journal so it
doesn't record entries for more than a specified length of
time. Also clean out email messages in both Outlook &
Express, then restart computer. Hope this helps.
