Saving Excel as text

I am having trouble trying to save an Excel spreadsheet
using a delimiter other than tab or comma. I received a
text file which uses the pipe | as the delimiter. I need
to edit the file and return it with the same delimiter;
however, when I try to save the file, that is not an
option. If I just hit Save, it saves as tab delimited. If
I try Save As, the only optons are MSDOS text, tab
delimited or csv.
