Saving Excel 2000 files as .xml

Is there any way to save/convert Excel 2000 files
to .xml?? also if I upgrade to excel 2003 will i be able
to save files as .xml? I would really be very grateful if
some one will take the time to answer this query in detail.

AFAIK, Excel 2000 does not support the XML format. You need XL2003 for
that.
