Saving emails with date stamp

Help Please, i'm very desperate.
I usually saved my previous email in a folder. but i have a problem, the
email date details when you're looking it from your folder is the date you
save it. What is the settings if i want to look in the folder with the date i
actually receive it? not the date i saved it.

Are you "saving" this email outside of Outlook? If you save it IN Outlook,
then the date received is kept...

The date stamp on a file, obviously, the date it was created. When creating
the file, WIndows doesn't care that it contains a message. It's just a file
like any other and when you create it, that time is recorded. There are
tools available from the Internet that will allow you to alter the creation
date stamp. Here's one:
