saving e-mails

I need to format my computer. Is there a way that I can save all my e-mails
? Like a folder/file where all are stored ? This way when I format my
computer and re-configure outlook I can just place my saved file there and
all the emails come back. I am asking because I know after I format my
computer all my emails that are in my inbox will be gone. Need an answer to
this as soon as posible. Thanks.
