Saving changes

When I create a new autotext entry I can't save it. I get this message when I
start to quit the program:
Word cannot save changes to the global template because it was opened with
read-only access.

How do I save autotext entry changes so that after I quit and reopen word I
still have the changes and don't have to reenter them all.

Thanks,

You could open or attach a different template and save the AutoText entries
there, then go back and restart Word with full access to Normal.dot and
move/copy the AT entries to it. The question is why you have only read-only
access to Normal.dot; if you're on a network, this is something to take up
with your admin, as Normal.dot is intended to be each user's personal
scratch pad and never shared (see “You cannot share the Normal.dot file
among multiple users in Word†at http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=811468).
