Saving & Attaching Files Browser Dialog Delay

When I try to save and attach files in Outlook 2007 and try to select the
folder I want to save to or attach from, I get a small dialog that comes up
with a message "Initializing root folders to display" and has a scrolling bar
of sorts. There is a long delay, 30-60 seconds before the folder I selected
opens in the browser box. If I make any other folder selections, I don't get
the small dialog, just the delay before the folder opens. It can sometimes
take me 5 minutes before a can get to the folder I need. Anyone have this
problem? Any idea what causes it and/or what fixes this problem?

FYI...I completely wiped my hard drive and reloaded WinXP Pro and Office
2007 will all updates and it still does it.

Did you ever resolve this issue? I've seen some responses that suggested
(successfully, it would appear) disconnecting network drives. I am having the
same problem, but don't want to undo the network drive mapping that I have.
Hoping that there is another solution......
