When using Word 2003 with Track Changes, I need to save the file in plain
text format (.txt). After I "Save As" with "Final Showing Markup" to the
..txt file, none of the deleted text is in the .txt file. How do I keep the
deleted text (contained within brackets) when the .txt file is generated?

Sorry about the other post, the system kicked me out when I was saving.

When you save as text, it removes all the formatting from your document,
including the track changes. You can either manually go through your
document and edit it accordingly or look for a 3rd party redlining tool like
DiffDoc, CompareRite or Deltaview.

DiffDocs website is http://www.softinterface.com/MD/MD.htm

Well, in the previous version of Word (Word 2002 AKA WordXP), it had no
problem exporting the changed text when saved as a plain text file. Any
other ideas? Thanks, Dave
