For example using this code:

Application.DisplayAlerts = False
ActiveWorkbook.SaveAs " "filepath\filename""
Application.DisplayAlerts = True

Will force the workbook to be saved without prompting from the user.

What i want to do is close the ActiveWorkbook WITHOUT the changes an
also without the Display prompts.

The active workbook is called "EPLC.xls" and as there will be tw
workbooks (or more) open i would rather, if possible refer to th
"EPLC.xls" directly by name just to make sure nothing goes askew.

Try something like

ActiveWorkbook.Close savechanges:=False
' or
Workbooks("EPLC.xls").Close savechanges:=False
