I have many form letter templates with formfields and
protected for forms. A macro assigned to a custom toolbar
in these templates accesses a shared network drive. The
macro necessarily unprotects the document based on the
template (noreset:=True), presents the built-in Insert
dialog, and allows the User to select a read-only text
file to be inserted into the form field that currently has
focus. Lastly, the document is reprotected for forms.
Herein lies my problem: Because of the unprotect-protect
actions, the Undo history is wiped out after the (each)
insertion!? QUESTION: Is there some VBA code that will
save the Undo history, or copy and restore it to the
active document? If not, is there some way to code around
the unprotect-protect to prevent the loss of Undo history?
