save password in shortcut when using runas

I am trying to use the savecred to save a power user password but it
keeps asking for a password when I launch the shortcut again. I
wonder where the credentials are saved. I've read you can use save
cred with runas to save the credentials for specific user that is
logged in. Any help is appreciated.
