Save or Modify a record

I have been using another database where it allows me to modify a record -
which access does and also save as a new record by using functions keys. My
problem is that a lot of fields in my access database retain the same details
and only 4 or more fields are changed. I would like to know if I can use a
(F) key or some other method whereby I can either modify an existing record
or save as a new record with the altered fields and existing fields. In
anticipation

It sounds like your tables are not normalized. You usually would not (have
to) store the same data over and over. Would you say that your tables are
normalized?

Can you explain "normalise". What I would like to see happen is an icon or
function key that save the record as a new one and not just save the record
with the altered details. Thank you
