Save not completed!!!!

Dear all,
I have a problem trying to save worksheets with Excel 2000
on a Windows 98 client connected to a Windows 2000 Server
server.
The error is: "Save not completed. File rename failed.
Retry?"
I have clicked Cancel, another error appears:
" Your changes could not be saved to <Filename.xls>, but
were saved to a temporary document named <39220000>. Close
the existing document, then open the temporary document
and save it under a new name."
Microsoft has two articles about this error: 234685 &
249931, but nothing explain my case exactly.
Note: I have installed Office 2000 SR-1 and Office 2000
Service Pack 3.

I'm not sure what parts came close to explaining your situation, but maybe you
can save to your local harddrive and then use windows explorer to copy back to
your server.

(Was one suggestion to disable your antivirus--to see if it's interfering with
the save?)
