save handwriting font for most platforms?

Create the text using this font as image in a graphic application, as there
would be no common font that could be selected, that would be on a user's
machine.

Beware of cursive fonts...they usually look crappy ( that's a term coined from Mr. Crapper). I don't think there is a cursive default font.

You're best bet would be to use a .gif made from your font...but again cursive looks...well try a couple you'll see what I mean...or look at my site I emailed you the url...cursive is a pain.

Hi Peter,

why not make the banner a graphic in your image program - this is the only
way to get it to display properly for all users

as usual I was looking for a shortcut to create a FP scrolling (moving L-R)
banner - can't do that in Photoshop - scrolling animated gif? - don't really
want to learn flash for 9 bits of moving poetry.
Is there a simpletons solution out there that allows me artistic control?

And thanks all for the advice on cursive scripts - I'll be careful -
promise!

artistic control and simple solutions are roads that don't often cross. ;-)
check out www.dynamicdrive.com or one of the other script resources. look
for a "picture fader" or whatever and just make static graphics in Photoshop
then let the script do the merge/ fade etc.
