Which version of PowerPoint? Make sure your version of PowerPoint has all
the latest Service Patches. What happens when you save it using a different
filename?

I am using powerpoint 2003. I regularly update when prompted. When i save the
file to a different filename i still encounter the same problem

I don't think you will be prompted to update PowerPoint. Go into
PowerPoint. In the Help menu, choose Check for Updates and follow the
instructions to install the latest service pack.

Thanks for the advice. I have downloaded all the available updates but i
still get the same problem. The presentation i save opens with bullet points
in sections i don't want them in. I have deleted them on 3 occaisions and
saved the new version however when i open it again they are still there.

Thanks for explaining what changes aren't sticking. Since it's the bullets,
I think you're running into a bug in PPT.

may help explain it and give you a couple of workaround options.

Here's a shorter link to the same page -- in case that really long one

Thanks for the help. I followed the link to the advice from microsoft. I used
the workround solution and deleted multiple master slides. I have just
changed my presentation again, saved it and ..........it works!
