Save As Export Feature

I have a bunch of reports and when the user previews the report, the user
would then like to Save As Export to another format such as Rich Text
Format. The problem is that the user is working from a .mde file, and
apparently in .mde mode, the Save As Export feature is disabled. Is there
any other way I can allow the user to save the reports or is there a way to
enable the save as feature in .mde mode?

Well, everything you mentioned, I have done. I have made the Save As Export
accessible to the users on the toolbar, but it is just grayed out when i
convert database to .mde format. I just don't get it.

hey rick,
well this is really weird cause i did add save as export to a customized
toolbar and it was visible until i converted my database to .mde. That's
where it's grayed out. i guess i am just not doing something correct.

Well I use it not only in MDEs, but in the Runtime so I don't know why it's not
working for you. I use Access 97, but I haven't heard of anything to suggest this
would be different in other versions.
