Is there a way to extract an embeddede picture from a Word document, save it
and attach it to another document

Yes, you can do this:

1. Right click on the image and left click on Copy.
2. Open the Paint program. To find it, click on Start, and go to All
Programs. The Paint program is under Accessories.
3. In the Paint program click on Edit, then Paste.
4. Click on File, then Save, and save the image wherever you want.
5. In your new document, click on the Insert Tab, then on the Picture button
in the Illustration group.
6. Browse to find your saved image and double click on it.
