SATARaid...?

On a new install of XP pro (done in the local shop),

I now have "Java SATARaid" sitting in the tray at the bottom every time
I boot. Right clicking will close it but is there an easier, more perm.
way to stop this?

If you have spybot with advanced options enabled you can click on
tools>system startup and uncheck the box next to the java sata raid. The
program itself should have an option to disable it from being in your
startup folder.

This Java SATARaid isn't like any "program" I've ever seen.

It sits in the left hand of the taskbar as if any minimized program
with an icon over on the right. If I maximize it, it looks like a DOS
window with such things as "
C:\Program Files\Silicon Image\Java SATARaid>javaw -classpath
"siicfg.jar;jh.jar
;mailapi.jar;smtp.jar;j2ee.jar" siicfg.SiICfgMain debug
" in it's window.

There's no options to do anything like file/edit/tools and such. All I
can do is right click and close it. The only option I see in the start
menu would be to hide inactive icons but that still leaves this
SATARaid program running and using resources - never have seen this
before.

JavaSataRaid graphics user interface (GUI) is prewired to start with
windows. According to the PDF file I just read you should be able to control
it and use it to monitor your raid setup and choose if you want it to load
on startup. By what you described I would say the program is malfuctioning.
I would open task manager and under processes try to end that process. Its
only a GUI and should have no effect. If you can end it then I would
uninstall it from add/ remove programs. If you cant end the process get a
third party program that will stop it. If you can't unistall it via the
add/remove programs delete its file in program files and use a registry
cleaning program after that. You need to clear all remnants of the program
from the registry before trying a fresh install. If you have javasataraid
and dont have the CD you will be able to download the GUI from the
manufacture's website.
