SATA Support

How well does Win 2000 Pro support SATA? SATA 1 and 2? I read the spec of a
bunch of boards that has SATA II controllers on them and the boards support
W2K, but does not say support SATA II explicitly.

The board I am interested in buying is Asus P5LD2-VM.

AFAIK nothing native. I don't think there were any serial ATA drivers
natively supported so look to the drive controller or mobo manufacturer for
Windows 2000 support.

Without a problem.
You should use manu drivers only and not rely on o/s drivers
