SATA Hard drive shows as removable

My system has 2 sata hard drives, both 200 gig, one has the operating system,
winxp home, the other is for storage, games, music etc. Winxp shows them as
removable hardware. Is there a way to disable the removable hardware icon in
the taskbar from showing them? i don't want to disable the notification
completley because i do use usb removable hardware. Any help would be greatly
appreciated. my system is as follows: AMD FX-55, Gigabyte SLI mb, 2-200 gig
Maxtor SATA hds, 2-BFG 6600gtoc's in sli, 1 gig Kingston ddr.
