Sata hard drive problem

I tried to install windows on a non arrayed setup. I have 2 Maxtor sata
drives and an asus a8v mobo with via sata built in. Windows install goes
well, install sata drivers from floppy and all is ok. Windows then begins to
copy files to the hard drive and tells me it cant install the sata drivers
which are on the floppy. I can continue install or cancel. I continue. All
goes well until install needs to restart the computer, at restart windows
does not see the sata drivers and acts like no previous install has been
done. If I restart the install and supply the drivers again it will just
repeat the cycle. Can any one help?

My first thought is that the BIOS SATA options are not set correctly.

It seems you need to figure out why it can't install the
SATA drivers. Google searches should help, maybe you just
didn't unzip them to the floppy?

When you supply the drivers, it has to accept them.
Double-check that floppy and figure out why it's rejecting
or can't find them.
