Sasser virus affects remote desktop?

I had two XP machines infected with the Sasser virus over the weekend.
I tried to access them with remote desktop, but got an error message
that msgina.dll had been changed.

I used Symantec's removal tool, and it appears to have removed the
virus and registry entries.

However, now when I try to connect to them, the machines reboot the
instant I try to connect. I tried moving a copy of msgina.dll from
another machine that wasn't infected, but that hasn't helped.

Any ideas?

Thanks

I have the same issue, I was on the phone with MS tech support for about 6hours, with no fix. Did you ever figure this out, email me if you did
