Click on Start/Run and enter MSCONFIG and click ok. Then click on start
programs and uncheck the process you want disabled.

In the run dialog box type in "msconfig." Click OK. In the "System Config
Utility" hit the tab "Startup. If you don't know how to access the run
dialog box, Left Click the Start Button then Left Click on "Run" from the
startup menu.

Most items listed under Processes in Task Manager are services. Disable
some if you do not want them running.

Start | Run | Type: services.msc | Click OK
