Sapphire Atlantis 9800 - Control Panel. . .

Hi,

just getting to grips with my ATI control panel, didn't touch it since I did
my clean install. I was wondering how other people have theirs set-up?. I
kinda figured it was a case of leave it set at defaults, and do all the
adjusting from within the game, but of course not all games have advanced
graphic options like FSAA, AF etc. . .

This is my D3D tab:

This is how it was set-up by default, is that 2x FSAA and 2x AF enabled?.
Should I whack up the lever at the top to make it do FSAA/AF in older games?

Thanks for any feedback. Initially I was wondering if these settings made a
big impact on benchmarks, but when I lowered them all and ran 3DMark03 my
score came out lower than when this tab as set at default?

I uncheck 'application preference' and turn FSAA and AF all the way up :)
For OGL, I only turn AF up to 8x. I get major lag, in OGL games, otherwise.
But, you have a kickass card, so you might get away with it :p

Likewise, I unchecked application preference and went with 4xAA and 8xAF in
all my 3d apps. I have yet to see the app where I would need to turn these
settings down. UT2003 runs like butter at these settings on my 2800+ XP and
9800.
