Pure Overclock have reviewed the Sapphire 6970 FleX Battlefield 3 Edition - a pricey card, but one that benefits from onboard Eyefinity and comes with a copy of Battlefield 3:

"AMD Eyefinity allows users to essentially span three separate monitors into one large, singular desktop. The lure of this to gamers is a massive field of vision across three screens. But Eyefinity has always had one very big asterisk: one monitor must have a native DisplayPort connection, or else purchase an active adapter that runs a DisplayPort connection. But this is where the Sapphire 6970 FleX Battlefield 3 Edition changes the rules.

What's so special about these FleX graphics cards? Well, they support Eyefinity out of the box with no need for expensive DisplayPort or adapters. That capability is built directly into the card itself, independent of the monitors being used. This means that any monitors with DVI ports can now run Eyefinity; no expensive DisplayPort is necessary. Of course, you still need three monitors to begin with, but the cost and technological implications are significant."

The game sold more than 5 million copies in its first weekend on sale. So that is a dedicated market of 5 million and growing. A pretty decent percentage of whom will have the Sapphire 6970 FleX Battlefield 3 Edition on their wish list. Translate just a small percentage of those folk into actual sales and you have a winner.
Good strategy on Sapphires part in my opinion. :thumb:

Is the card any good and worth the money though
