Sapi 5.1 on Win XP Home edition

I want to use a voice recognition software and a message appears after the
installation which states that it cannot function because I don't have Sapi
5.1 installed. Can installing Sapi 5.1 cause a problem to my system or is it
best I don't install.
Is there another way so I can use that type of software.
Thaks for any help on this subject
 
Installation of SAPI 5.1 won't cause a problem to your system.
