Same message received many times

Outlook 2002 downloads the same message hundreds of times.

Outlook is set to leave a copy of message on server, and
delete mail after 4 days, and delete when deleted from
deleted items. Any idea what can cause this?

Thanks.
 
What sort of mail account(s) do you have? Is it only one particular message
that gets downloaded repeatedly, or do you get all messages over and over?
