Hi all, I was told that deleting the sam file will blank
the admin password and allow you access to the machine
which in turn allows you to browse the network, didn't
believe this till I tried it, isn't this a huge security
risk?

You will find that you can get into most operating systems
once you have physical access to the machine. In the case
of Win2000, all you need is a Win98 boot disk plus a freely
available program to read NTFS partitions.
