There are a lot of different firewall solutions on the market and I'm wondering if the firewall in Windows XP will be safe enough compared i.e. with the McAfee firewall

I'm working with Windows XP Home Edition on my home computer.

XP's built in firewall has been mentioned in various publications as not
worth the powder it would take to blow it up. Go to www.zonelabs.com and get
Zone Alarm instead.

If I were to use Zone Alarm, do I have to disable the XP Firewall? If so, how is that done?

The two way firewall in XP SP2 Beta is, which is what I have installed. The
firewall in XP SP1 is only a one-way firewall since it only blocks incoming
problems. It doesn't prevent programs from accessing the internet.
