I have a sh... load of files in my Norton recycle bin that are all MAP files.
They are all object.map and index.map. My computer "fried" a couple of days
ago and began dumping memory. Someone told me to do a search for all .dmp
files and to delete
them. It was after this that I have these 1500 or so MAP files in the
Norton Protected Recycle Bin. Do you think I can delete these files from the
Recycle bin?

Yes. I went even further, and deleted every Norton/Symantec file from
my computer and every Symantec entry in my registry.

Ah, it feels wonderful, and my computer loves the freedom and speed.
