safe mode

I was working in safe mode and can not return to normal
mode. Use f12 and changing to normal mode using f8 does
not return the system to normal mode. Any suggestions

This is probably an obvious, I'm sure you've tried, but,
did you reboot? If you did, try to run msconfig and
check your start-up menus.

While running in "safe" mode, go to Start>run and type "msconfig"(no quotes)
on the "boot.ini" tab, un-check "safeboot", reboot.
