* Safe mode menu always comes up on restart *

I recently wiped my hard drive clean and reinstalled my
copy of windows XP pro on my system.

For some reason every time i reboot the safe mode menu
automatically comes up and asks me to choose what kind of
login I want. I am not hitting F8 during the boot process
and when I select normal startup the system loads and
works fine.

How do I get XP to stop prompting me with that safe mode
menu each restart?
