have XP Home. After tapping F8 key and selected safe Mode, the cursor starts
blinking but nothing happens. I know I could start Safe mone from SysConfig
but I am curious to know why does not open anymore. Larely I cleaned up
registry with a tool, Asahnppo, could that be the cause?

Also I can not open some saved pages from web in .mht mode, but only some,
others open regularly.

Somebody has an explanation for these issues?
Thanks in advance for your help

If the registry cleaner has an undo option give that a try and see what
happens.

That is one of the problem with these registry cleaners, there is no way
of knowing if the cleaner caused the problem and what it is exactly that
it might have done that would cause problems. For most part these
cleaners are next to utterly useless and they cause more harm than good,
don't bother with these useless cleaners. Maintenance wise there is no
need to clean the registry and doing so provides no real benefits, it
can only lead to possible problems. Why bother?

Bob, I did it, the process has been completed after a while but there was no
message in return, unless some log has been written somewhere.
What shall I do now?
Thanks
