S-VIDEO PC to TV Probs.

I have hooked up my PC to my TV so that I can watch DVDs
from my PC on my TV. I am using an S-Video out cable (8
Meters Long) and a cord for sound. I have two problems.
The first is when I hook up the S-video cable to the TV,
whether the cable is hooked into anything else or not, it
produces this low humming noise through the speakers! I
can turn up the volume of the movie and kind of drown it
out but it is still annoying. The second problem is with
the video. When I am trying to watch a movie, at the
darker parts you can see a wide, faint, white line go up
the screen. It does this the whole movie but is only
noticeable when the lighting in the movie is low. Are
these problems normal? Do I have bad equipment? It there
anyhting I can do to improve this?

Thanks

Thanks Hey ADAM,
Did you check your connections on your TV? I have that problem also
but do you see your wallpaper on your PC?
By the way, you probably need software to watch DVDs on your TV usin
the PowerDVD on your PC.
p.s.: What windows and what kind of graphics card are you using
