S-Presso Barebone won't power up

Hi there,

I believe my S-Presso Deluxe (with ASUS P4P8T mainboard) is having a serieus
malfunction.

After assembling the barebone with all the necessary hardware everything
seemed to be fine.

Even after i installed the OS and drivers it all worked seamlessly.

During additional software installations I rebooted the system several times
before fully shutting it down. A few hours later, when I wanted to continuue
installing software, the system refused to power up. However, the system is
getting power because all the leds and the built-in display light up
(displaying only "WAIT"), the CPU and power fans go crazy and beeping sounds
are coming from the mainboard. This happens directly after pressing the
power button. If I leave the machine on for a while nothing seems to alter
in this situation: the cooling fans continue to spin on maximum rpm (at
least that's what it sound like), irritating beeping sound keep coming from
the mainboard buzzer and the display telling me to 'WAIT' forever.

Mouse and keyboard are non-responsitve, there is no image at all on the
monitor (no error message, boot logo or what so ever), entering the BIOS is
not possible.

I tried to clearing the CMOS, I disconnected and removed everything else
one by one trying to narrow down the problem but it all resulted in the same
system hang as described above.

Does this sound familiar to anyone? Is there an explanation for this
behaviour? Am I overlooking something and is there a simple way to solve
this? Or is my only option to returns this barebone to the store and getting
a new one?

Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers, Robert
