S/PDIF Audio

I have a Realtek onboard sound card in my Acer T-650 Desktop Computer. I have
no idea how to set up the S/PDIF audio or how it works. Please help.

AcThe owner's manual is only 22 pages long and when I called support I
actually got a person in the USA but I knew more about the system than he
did. I will try to google it. Thank you for your help Ted.
