Dear Sir/Madam,

I have Windows Xp Home and I have an Administrator account
and 1 user account. I installed SPSS (using Administrator
account) and there is no problem when I run SPSS with
administrator account. But, when I use the user account, I
can't run the program. I'd ask the SPSS technical support
and they said that I have to give the user account RWXD
rights on the license's files. They said that in the
license's files, I right click and give the user account
RWXD rights (using the administrator account). But in Xp
Home, when I right click, I can't find the RWXD rights.

How can I give RWXD rights in Windows Xp Home Edition ?

Thanks for your help.

Regards,

Aditya Miko Hananto.

Hi,

With Home edition you can boot into F8 safe mode,
locate the file, r-click into its Properties, change to
the Security tab, highlight Users in the list and check
to allow modify/change, and then apply/ok your way
back out of the windows that were opened doing this.
