runtime error

I just did wdws update and installed directX 9.0b, as suggested. Then using
IE on a page and filling out an online form, each time I tried to type a
character I got a "runtime error" message and was asked to "debug." It said
that "line 73 undefined is null and not an object."

I couldn't get past this, so I said "yes" to debugging. But I have no clue
as to how to go about "debugging." It opened Word for me to edit something,
but this is all way over my head...

How do I get past this? Is this likely related to the DirectX update? I've
had this debugging thing come up before. If it's relevant, I've had Direct
X 9 on the machine for some time.

Wdws XP Pro OS.

Thanx

Sometimes installing updates will reset preferences in various parts of
Windows to their default values. Check that script debugging did not get
re-enabled: Internet Options> Advanced.

Check box to "Disable script debugging."
Remove check from "Display a notification about every script error."

Okay your way back to the Desktop. Close any open IE windows so that the
changes in settings can take effect.
