I recently upgraded to Windows XP. Whenever I connect to the internet I get
a "runtime error - debug - yes/no" wizard appearing on my screen. Is there a
setting to avoid this or do I have a problem which needs other remedy?

Go to Tools, then select Internet Options
Then select ADVANCED
Under Browsing – uncheck “Display Notification about every script error”

Also check:
Disable script debugging (internet explorer)
Disable script debugging (other)
