I can't open IE from one of my accounts in my computer. I keep getting a
runtime error from c:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe . saying:
the application has requested the runtime to termitate it in an unusual way.
I tried on internet options but everything seems to be ok

Hi,
The Google toolbar has been causing the C++ Runtime error recently. Try
uninstalling the Google toolbar from Control Panel> add/remove programs. You
may be able to reinstall it or you may have to wait for a newer version.

If running IE6 SP2, try IE> Tools> Manage add-ons. Disable add-ons to see if
one of them is the culprit. If not using SP2, try one of these free
programs:
ToolbarCop: http://windowsxp.mvps.org/toolbarcop.htm
BHODemon 2.0: http://www.definitivesolutions.com/bhodemon.htm

Another program, possibly malware, might be causing this. See these sites

I just had the same problem and uninstalling the Google Task Bar solved it.
Too bad I paid Dell support before finding this site. Dell had me work around
the problem by setting up a new user account, but uninstalling the Google
Taskbar actually solved the problem

Hi,

I have the same problem with the Runtime Error. Your solution won't work
because basically, we can't even open IE - all we get is the runtime error
message, and so can't check whether the Google toolbar is the culprit... I
don't even know if I have the service pack installed, and I'm not sure where
to check.
Any other suggestions?
thanks.

How to Fix IE Runtime Error:
http://www.broomeman.com/support/ierntime.html

You can remove the Google Toolbar, using the Add/Remove Programs icon in the
Control Panel. Go for it!
