runtime error with ie6

XP-Pro SP2 OS -- am getting a runtime error -- Microsoft visual C --
when I try to run Internet exporer. Suggestions??
 
You should post the exact error, e.g.

Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library.
Runtime Error!
Program: c:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\IEXPLORE.EXE
The application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an
unusual way.
Please contact the application's support team for more information.
