Runtime error on opening CBF

Hi

I started a working adp project on a new machine with office 2003 and tried to open the code behind one particular form to make a minor change. The following message popped up
"Runtime error!
Programm: c:\....\msaccess.ex
This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way. Please contact the application's support team for more information
The message box had the title "Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library
Any idea where I can start to debug? The code can be edited on other 2003 machines without problems. Does anybody know the exact name of this file?

Thanks in advance

Hi Norbert,

Thanks for your post. According to your description, I understand that when
you open the code behind one particular form to make a change, the
following error message popped up:
"Runtime error!
Programm: c:\....\msaccess.exe
This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual
way. Please contact the application's support team for more information"

If I have misunderstood, please feel free to let me know.

Based on my research, this error message is general, which can be caused by
many reasons. Please try to check the following points to see if they can
fix your problem.
1. Please try to upgrade your operation system below:
http://v4.windowsupdate.microsoft.com/en/default.asp

2. Please add the windows logon account into administrator group and to see
if this problem occurs again. You can also try to create a new user account
in the administrator group.

3. Did you install eFax Messenger Plus software (www.efax.com)? Please try
to disable this item from startup group items in MSConfig.

4. Did you install spyware plugin? Please try to uninstall anything that
could be considered Spyware/Adware in Add/Remove Programs.

Also, such issues tend to be complex and take up extensive research time.
I'd like to set your expectations that it may take a while for us to help
you narrow down the problem and we may eventually redirect you to PSS to
continue working with a dedicated Support Professional. If this is
critical, I'd recommend contacting PSS and opening a Support incident
troubleshoot this further. If you need any help in this regard, please let
me know.

Hi Michael

thanks for your answer. Point 2 in your recommendation list caused me to logon to the machine with the local Admin account. Then I could work in the project without any problems. I finally found that the problem had something to do with my domain account on the system which I changed a couple of days before from server based to local. After deleting the profile and logging on again with my server based profile the problem was fixed

Thanks & regard
