Help! I'm on WindowsME and I recently upgraded to IE 6
SP1. Now I'm receiving this "Runtime Error" on major sites
such as when I try to retrieve my Yahoo! Mail and on eBay.
The error appears as such:

Runtime Error
Line: 1
Error: Invalid character

It then asks if I want to debug.

Does anyone know a fix for this? Please help; a client I'm
doing some work for from home needs me to use the upgraded
browser, and I'm reluctant to do an OS upgrade. Hoping IE6
works with Windows ME. THANKS.

Common script errors messages can be eliminated by Clicking:
Menu: Tools - Internet Options - Advanced tab.
Check "Disable script debugging"
Uncheck "Display a notification about every script error"

In you case you may need the new script version.
Microsoft's Scripting download
Get the latest. Two download versions are available for Windows Script 5.6.
The first version requires Windows 2000; the second version requires
Microsoft Windows 98, Millenium Edition (Me), or NT 4.0. Please choose the
download appropriate for your operating system.
