Running wireless network and wired at same time

I'm trying out to figure the best way to back up our internet connection. We
currently have a T1 connection.

In addition we receive a wireless connection from a sister company. When
our T1 line is down which seems to happen frequently as of late is there a
way to run both network connections at the same time.

Basically I still want the wired connection for network files and such...but
the wireless for internet and email connectivity. Is this possible? I
didn't think it was, but thought I would check with the experts?

If this doesn't work any suggestions on a backup internet connection...I
guess dial up is the only option?

Thanks for any assitance.

Yes, it is possible. You need to modify the routing table so that wired NIC point to the local subnet only while the wireless point to the internet that is 0.0.0.0. this link may help,
